d Rocky Woods, Nov 1, 2009 The rain ended early, and although the woods were still damp, the sun came out, and it was a beautiful day for orienteering. A surprise entry, Modestas Bacys, from Lithuania, in Boston for a medical conference, came and handily beat all the local heavyweights. We also had Scout Troop 4 from Westboro - 14 scouts and 4 leaders - who used up all the pre-printed Yellow maps. Fortunately, we had course-setter Clem McGrath's laptop, an inkjet printer, and power from the picnic pavilion, and were able to print more maps as needed. After doing the Yellow the Troop went out and did the White, with freshly printed maps. Ain't OCAD great? Our control collectors got a little eager, in anticipation of early darkness, and started collecting too early. Some people got caught by the missing controls. Our apologies to those affected.
