Part of the 2007 Boston Park Series. Please note that parking at Kingsley Park is for Cambridge residents only. If you are not a Cambridge resident, you can park in the lot behind the Tobin School, at 197 Vassal Ln. (map) Please be advised that spikes are NOT appropriate for this park. You will be fine in regular running shoes or trail shoes.

Directions: (Driving) While driving south along Fresh Pond Parkway (Route 2), turn right into Kingsley Park (over the rail bridge, after passing the Cambridge water supply building between you and the pond). The turn is about 100 yards before (north of) Huron Avenue. You cannot turn left if you are going north on Route 2; continue to the rotary at Saville St, turn around and come back on Route 2 south to the turnoff. Note: This lot is marked for Cambridge residents only. If you're not from Cambridge you can either risk it or park across Fresh Pond Parkway in the Cambridge Chevrolet dealer lot. (Subway) Closest station is Alewife (Red line). Exit onto Cambridgepark Drive, and head south along Fresh Pond Parkway (the busy road you see on your lef). Cross the bridge over the commuter rail line and continue until you reach the rotary. Cross over and continue in the same direction along the bike path into Fresh Pond Recreation Area. You should be going clockwise around the pond (that is, it should be on your right). After another couple hundred yards go past the Cambridge water pumping station; you should see orienteers from the top of the rise (this is Kingsley Park). Total walking distance around 0.8 miles. (Bus) Take routes 72 or 75 from Harvard station to the intersection of Fresh Pond Parkway and Huron Ave. Walk north along Fresh Pond Parkway, turn left over the bridge after about 100 yards.
