UPDATE 4/12/2013: Due to permit restrictions, we have had to limit our camp to 3 exercises instead of the planned 4. See updated schedule for details. One-day training camp for all levels of orienteers. Exercises will be offered for everyone from beginner to elite orienteers. Cost is $10, $6 for juniors. The Pine Hill map is one of the finest maps in the Boston area, and offers opportunities for many different types of training. Exercises will make use of over 100 streamered control sites, and registered entrants can do as many trainings as they feel like. Instruction will be available. The focus of the camp will be on technical orienteering training. Please register online so that we know how many maps to print. Schedule for the camp: 9am - Line-o; focus on precision map reading. 10:30am - O-terval pair training; focus on simplification and quick navigation. 12pm - lunch (not provided) 1pm - 2-man relay (mass start).

Directions: From I-93 N, take exit 33 to Fellsway West (Rt 28). Go N 1.8 miles to reservation entrance. Follow the road inside to the parking lot. or From 93 South to exit 35 at stop take a left under hightway at next stop sign take a right at first set of lights (Rt 28) take a right for Sheepfold enterance.

Pine hill is part of the MDC middlesex fells. The terrain has many details, trails, and a fair amount of green stuff in the summer.
