Lynn Woods - Middle

The Lynn Woods, in Lynn MA north of Boston, is CSU’s newest map. The area is almost completely forest, with areas of vegetation similar to the Middlesex Fells. There is much more variety to the density of the vegetation here, and a large part of the map is open woods. The map is 1:10000, and will be used for the middle WRE day.

Middlesex Fells - Long

The Middlesex Fells, to the west of Lynn Woods is a large wooded area in Stoneham, MA. The woods surround a large reservoir that is part of the Winchester water supply. Woods can be very thick, but detailed terrain and a dense trail network make for interesting route choice. Parts of the park have been used for previous CSU meets, but we will be using the entire map for the first time for this long course. Map is 1:10000.
