Fall is a busy time on the North Shore; the Topsfield Fair is the first week of October, the Head of the Charles Regatta is on our weekend, and Halloween in Salem is the last weekend. On top of this, there are many visitors here to view the colorful fall foliage. So make your reservations early, and make sure you understand each company's cancellation policy.
The most convenient place for lodging and dining for our events is along US Route 1, north of Boston. In the area near the events, Route 1 goes through the cities and towns of Revere, Saugus, Lynnfield, Peabody, and Danvers. It is generally known as the Newburyport Turnpike, but has street names in each city or town. In Revere, Saugus and Lynnfield, it is called Broadway (except at the south end of Saugus, where Broadway is Route 99); in Peabody and Danvers, it is called Newbury St. And even when the name doesn't change, the street numbers do. So take extra care to check which town your address is in.
The Red Roof Inn will be the primary meet hotel. Registration and packet pick up will be available each evening. It is most convenient to the Saturday and Sunday meet sites and to the banquet. We have a block of rooms set aside at a price of $85 (+ tax) for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Call the motel directly and mention the code "SPORTS" when making a reservation. The block will be held for us until Sept 22.
